How to search within a transcript and jump to timestamps

2 min readFeaturesLast updated 15 June 2026

Step-by-step guide

1

Open a video detail page

From your Dashboard, click any video card that has the "Ready" status. This opens the video detail page which shows the full transcript alongside the video metadata.

2

Use the search box

At the top of the transcript panel you will find a search box labelled "Search transcript…". Type any word or phrase you are looking for. Results update instantly as you type — no need to press Enter.

3

Review highlighted matches

Every occurrence of your search term is highlighted in yellow within the transcript text. A small counter in the search box shows how many matches were found (e.g. "4 of 4"). Use the up/down arrows beside the counter to jump between matches.

4

Click a timestamp to open that moment in YouTube

Each transcript segment has a timestamp on the left side (e.g. [01:23]). Click any timestamp to open YouTube in a new tab with the video cued to that exact moment. This is especially useful for jumping to a specific section of a long lecture or podcast.
