Exporting your transcript — TXT, PDF, SRT explained

3 min readFeaturesLast updated 15 June 2026

Step-by-step guide

1

Open the video detail page

Navigate to your Dashboard and click on the video you want to export. The video detail page will open, showing the full transcript.

2

Click the Export button

In the toolbar at the top of the transcript panel, click the "Export" button (it looks like a download arrow icon). A dropdown menu will appear with the available format options.

3

Choose your format

Select one of the available formats:

TXT — Plain text file. Best for copying the transcript into a word processor, notes app, or AI prompt. No formatting, just the words.
PDF — Formatted document with the video title, thumbnail, and timestamps. Best for sharing with colleagues or archiving.
SRT — SubRip Subtitle file. Best for video editors who want to burn captions into a video or upload subtitles to YouTube/Vimeo.
ZIP — A bundle of multiple transcripts (and/or formats) packaged into a single archive. Best when you want to download a whole folder of transcripts at once rather than one file at a time.
4

Download your file

After selecting a format, your browser will download the file automatically. The filename will be based on the video title. For PDF exports, the download may take a second or two to generate.
